Objectives of the School
The general objective of the college of Health Sciences program is to educate and train motivated, qualified women to act as agents of change in the areas such as community health and nutrition, and to improve the quality Somalia community. The program is designed to develop graduate midwives who will:
- Ø be able to work in continuity-of-care models according to the international definition of the midwife and nursing,
- Ø be able to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams to promote high quality outcomes of care for each woman and baby,
- Ø provide high quality care through safe and effective midwifery and nursing practice,
The aim of this course is to prepare and produce highly skilled and quality health care professionals’ staff fully equipped and well-grounded in the knowledge of diseases managing, caring sick patients, pregnant mothers, and newly born babies.
